EMPLOYMENT EQUITY COMMITTEE MEETING

Hi, I am Khanyi! I am the chairperson of the Employment Equity Committee in our mine. This is a challenging position because I also have a full time job as Mine Superintendent. We meet every quarter for a full day. Many issues are tabled for discussion and I am not always sure how to deal with them. It is not clear what the powers of the employment equity committee is and members get frustrated when their demands are ignored or not met.
